Are Wolf Garten products Stainless Steel? 

The steel used in producing Wolf Garten products has been cold rolled, however it is not Stainless Steel. Carbon steel cold rolled & zinc plated . 

 

Warranty   

How do I register my product for the guarantee? 

You do not need to register your product with us. If you’ve purchased your WG product directly from our website, your confirmation email is your proof of purchase. If you have purchased from one of our stockists, please keep your receipt as this is essential if you need to claim under the guarantee.  

If you need assistance within the first 12 months, please contact the place of purchase.  

 

Do you offer repair services for tools? 

No, unfortunately we do not offer any repair services on our tools. 

 

Do you offer repair services for Wolf Garten Mowers? 

You will need to take the machine to your local dealer for inspection. The machine will need to be booked into the dealer's work schedule. 
 
Our dealer will inspect the machine and, if there is a genuine fault found, they will rectify it under warranty. If, however, the fault is down to misuse, user error or general wear and tear, this will not be covered by warranty and a charge for the inspection will be given.

How long is the Guarantee?  

The duration of the guarantee varies depending on the product.

  • All products in the multi-change® range manufactured from 2018 onwards come with a 35-year guarantee. Anything before 2018 has only a 10-year guarantee. Our cutting range and fixed hand tools carry a 10-year guarantee 

  • Other products come with a guarantee between 2 and 5 years, depending on product.  

 If unsure which is for your product, you can check on the page of each product and you will see at the top right corner the guarantee years are stated.

What does the Guarantee cover? 

The guarantee is against manufacturing faults. The guarantee protects against faulty manufacture or materials – not against wear & tear. For more information on the guarantee please visit our guarantee page. 

 

What is not covered by the Guarantee?  

The guarantee does not cover:  

General wear and tear on the product i.e. blunt blades. 

  • Any depreciation or damages caused by ordinary wear, rusting or corrosion, lack of correct maintenance or operation, misuse, abuse or accidental damage. 

  • Failure or damage caused as a result of parts or accessories being modified without the written approval of E.P. Barrus Ltd. 

  • The guarantee is non-transferable and is only applicable to the original purchaser.

My product has broken/developed a fault, can you help me? 

Please email the following information to wolf-garten@barrus.co.uk and our Product Team will be able to review the item under the guarantee -  

  • A copy of the receipt  

  • Your full address and telephone number             

  • A photo of the item (including branding) 

  • Brief description of the fault 

 

Do I need a receipt to claim under the guarantee? 

As per the Terms & Conditions yes, you will need a receipt. For more information on the guarantee please follow our guarantee page

 

What if I do not have a receipt? 

To claim under guarantee, we do required proof of purchase. For more information on the guarantee please visit our guarantee page. You can send us a photo of the product and description of what has occurred by filling out a contact form. We will try to help resolve the issue albeit not under guarantee.  

*Please note this does not mean you will be entitled to a free replacement. 

 

How do I find retail stockists within UK?

Product Care  

Do you offer a sharpening service? 

No, unfortunately we do not offer any sharpening services. 

 

How do I sharpen my tools? 

Unfortunately, as we do not offer a sharpening service we cannot advise on the matter, you could try with a specialist or your local garden centre. We do offer a Wilkinson Sword sharpener suitable for sharpening knives, pruners, shears, loppers & scissors. 

 

General

Why did my stainless-steel product rust? 

The Wolf Garten products are not stainless-steel. To further clarify – in general stainless-steel products are naturally corrosion-resistant products; however, this does not mean they are rustproof.  

 

Where are Wolf Garten products manufactured? 

Wolf Garten is mostly manufactured in Germany.

 

Are spare parts available for my Garden Tools?

Yes, most of our products have Spare Parts available. You can contact the following company from which you can purchase spare parts. They can also advise what spare part you need for your product -

Why can’t I find my product on your website?  

On our website we only have the current Wolf Garten range. Anything not found is either discontinued by the manufacturer or no longer imported. 

 

Can I buy products no longer manufactured? 

No, if the manufacturer ceases production, they will not re-create it again. You can however leave feedback for them on - Support Information | WOLF-Garten

 

Why does my product look different to the image on your website? 

The products offered can change appearance and colouration or have an improved design. What you find on the website is the up-to-date image of the product. 

 

Order tracking services 

Unfortunately, we do not offer tracking services. We aim to deliver within 5 working days. If you have any concerns about your order, please fill out a contact form with your receipt number. 

 

Where is my receipt number? 

You can locate you receipt number on the email confirmation you would receive with your order. 

 

I didn’t receive an email confirmation

Please check your spam/junk folder on your email. If you cannot locate the receipt and no monies have been taken from your card, the order has not gone through.  

If you are unsure or monies were taken, please fill out a contact form and give us as many details as possible about what you ordered, what address was used, name of the recipient, date of purchase, etc. 

 

I want to see the product before I buy it, how do I do that? 

If you are looking for a local stockist for Wolf Garten please use our stockist locator. We suggest calling the stockist before visiting to see if a specific product is available in that location.

 

Returns

How do I return a product? 

Please email us on wolf-garten@barrus.co.uk for a returns authorization number and returns instructions. Please let us know your receipt number. 

 

How do I return my products? 

Please fill out a contact form and supply your receipt number and the product you would like to return. We will then send return instructions and a returns number. 

 

Do I need a returns number? 

Yes, any unauthorised returns will be sent back. 

 

Do you offer exchanges? 

We do not offer exchange services. You can return the product to us by your own means, and we can issue a refund for you. You can then re-order the required product.
